Collecting has become a national pastime as potent as the
lure of buried treasure. Perhaps some of this new craze
has been due to the enormous popularity of the various television
shows and magazines, which have finally allowed us to see
how much beauty and excitement there is in our everyday
decorative crafts of only yesterday.
There has also been a revival
in home and interior design which has sparked off interest
in acquiring just the right object for the right space.
This is a first fatal step-soon the well-dressed room gives
way to a collection of even more wonderful objects, to become
an Aladdin's cave of treasures instead.
